earth

Why put the Earth in the first place.

A heat pump that exchanges heat with the subsoil, doesn’t produce any harmful emission to the environment and uses much less energy than that provided, the ratio is 1:4 or even better. As a matter of fact, for each kWh of electricity you get at least 4 kWh of thermal energy: the remaining 3 are provided by the earth!
That’s why this technology is absolutely eco-compatible, it requires very low operating costs and gives a positive cash flow since the energy savings exceeds payment on the system in just a few years (from 3 to 6-7).

The benefits

Money saving
Thanks to the efficiency of this technology you get a drastic cut of fuel consumption and a utility bill saving up to 80%.
Furthermore, a geothermal system has very low maintenance costs. The ground probes last at least 50 years, while the heat pumps do not require any regular maintenance as there’s no flame or gas-burning.
Finally, it’s possible to detract 55% of the installation cost in case of house retrofit.

Three systems in one
A geothermal system fully replaces three systems: the heating furnace, the hot water boiler and the air conditioner cooling system for the summer season.

Environmentally friendly
Geothermal systems use an absolutely clean and renewable energy source, as there’s no greenhouse gas emission or other toxic substances like nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides or fine particles. Furthermore, there are no solid or liquid substances to get rid of.
The compatibility to other renewable energy sources (wind, solar thermal, photovoltaics) increases the geothermal system efficiency, contributing to the reduction of environmental impacts and fossil fuel dependence.

Independence on weather conditions
As the earth’s heat is constant all year long, the geothermal system performances do not depend on weather conditions or seasonal variations. Wind, rain, clouds or fog won’t affect the system functionality at any latitude you’re located.

Comfortable heat
The comfort provided by the geothermal system coupled with radiant heating is higher than the traditional one; it gives a uniform distribution of heat in every room and the possibility to configure several different climate zones.

Safety
The absence of any flame or furnace guarantees a safety level higher than that of a traditional heating system.
There’s no risk of gas leakage or toxic substance emission like carbon monoxide, a typical residual of combustion in low oxygenated environments. There’s no need for fuel storage tanks or chimney.
Thanks to its safety and noiseless characteristics a heat pump can be placed in any room with no restrictions.

Design, furnishings and full architectural integration
The geothermal system’s parts are “invisible”. The ground probes are placed in the subsoil and can be installed even in small areas. There are no pipes at sight and the radiant panels are mounted inside the walls, floors or ceilings.
The heat pump is the only “visible” element, but thanks to the reduced size, design and noiselessness, it can be placed everywhere in the house. The radiators removal allows more flexible choices in the furnishings.
The architectural “cleanliness” of the building is safeguarded by the absence of chimneys or special rooms for furnaces.

Nothing for the thieves
Unlike other technologies, there are no external elements or parts that can be stolen or tampered.
